Wheel Spacers and Tire fitment questions.

Ok so i have 2 questions here. Here's the background story: I have a chance to buy good American Racing Atlas wheels with good 315/75/16 BFG Mud-Terrains on them for a good price from a friend. Only problem is that the wheels are a 5x5.5" bolt pattern, that as i learned is not the same bolt pattern as my truck. So I was wondering what everybodys input would be on buying wheel spacers that would mount on my stock bolt pattern, and change the bolt pattern over to a 5x5.5" so that i could use those wheels and tires. The spacers are aluminum 1.25" wide for $120 on ebay for all 4 of them. I dont know if this would be a good investment or not, it certainly would be much cheaper then finding other wheels and tires i would think though. But that problem leads to my second question, I have a 2000 F-150 4x4 with the torsion bars cranked all the way and 2 inch blocks in the back, will these tires fit under my truck the way it is? (i can trim it up a bit if i have to thats no big deal) And how would those tires fit with the wheel spacers in there? Would they rub or not?

No, you can't fit a 315/75-16 tire on your stock 4x4 using an aftermarket wheel. The wheel spacers would only make matters worse. The wheel spacers/pattern adaptors usually cause more problems than they solve.

So youre saying that even with that 2 inches of lift those tires still wont fit under there? Like i said minor trimming would be ok with me. And i'm not thinking that youre wrong, but how would those spacers affect the way the tire would fit in the wheel well, besides it obviously sticking out an inch and a quarter more beyond the original hub position? Would it cause the tires to rub more? Or what negatives would they have?

The aftermarket wheels are gonna be wider and push the tires out, not allowing clearance for the 35's. The wheel spacer is gonna push them out even more, causing more fitment problems. A 35 inch tire is a tight fit with a 3 inch body lift and the torsion bars cranked up to begin with (this is what I have).
Also, I'd be worried about the spacers/adaptors causing vibration problems.

Alright I think that all makes sense to me. I thought those tires would fit better than that, but i understand what you are saying. Thanks for all of your help! I guess I will be saving for a body lift and finding different wheels. I want that size of tire under, but i was hoping i could squeeze them with just what i have until i have enough money and time to install a body lift to make it look better, but since i'll need the body lift anyways i'll just be saving my money to be getting all that i want at the same time.

i ran spacers on my truck for about 2 years with no problems.

However they do make the wheels stick out farther and i had problems with 33's rubbing with a 3 inch body.
