Will 17" **** Cepek DC-1 wheels with 33x12.50's fit on 2008 FX4?

I am brand new, this is my first post on here!

First off, I have a 2008 F150 FX4. I will be adding a 2.5" leveling kit, and I am looking to get a set of 17" DC-1 wheels and not sure yet on the tires, but I want 33X12.50's. Does anyone have this setup on an newer FX4?? I was wondering if this will fit. Any pics or help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I thought I have read something about our trucks brake calipers having issues clearing inside 17" wheels. I think you can only fir 18+ wheels on our trucks. (I am probably wrong but just passing what I know along)

See I told you I was probably going to be wrong! Thanks for setting it straight, but I still think I read something about some aftermarket 17's not clearing the calipers. (I just don't want to say they will fit and then them not fit for him)

ya i think i heard that a while back, but i have 17's w/ no problems, chaz has 17's with no problems, i think thor has some as well. thats just off the top of my head, but i haven't heard a thread lately about someones 17 not fitting, so chances are no problems. just have the place you buy them from test fit them first to make sure everything clears.

Thanks guys! I currently have the stock 18's right now. If those 17" DC-1's do fit, and I run a 33X12.50-17 tire is there any chance of rubbing at full crank?? Will going to a 33" affect my speedometer?

2wd or 4wd?

2wd you will need a 2 1/2" leveling kit, and depending on wheel spec yes or no
4wd with no 2 1/2= maybe probly not
with 2 1/2= i really doubt it, you can fit a 35 on stock rims w/ a leveling kit

wandell will be able to let you know for sure tho

In '05 they had some problems with aftermarket wheels clearing the calipers, I was able to clear my '04's brakes with no problems with my 17" wheels (both sets). A leveled 4x4 can clear up to a 35x12.5 tire with the stock wheels or aftermarket wheels with close to stock specs.

yea, you should be fine then would be my guess. whats the wheel specs? if your getting a leveling kit, i really really doubt there would be any rubbing.

like paw paw said, you can fit a 35 with stock rims so i really can't see 33's being a problem.

They are 17x9 with 4.53" backspacing and -12mm offset.

Do you think they will stick out??

to compare my wheel specs are 17x9 with 4 5/8 backspacing and -8mm offset. my wheels stick out about 2 inches or so. gives it a good look but doesn't stick out to far.

i am by no means a wheel expert, i am just learning as i go.

you will be fine with 17's, and if you stick with a 33" tire you should be fine might have to trim a little bit

Those wheels will stick out 2 1/2 inches more than stock. I'd check out the 305x65x17 tires or the 295x70x17 tires. That's about the max on those wheels with a leveling kit to avoid rubbing. The more you stick out in the front wheelwells the more chances to rub with larger tires.
