Brake Cable

Well i was hoping someone woudl eb able to tell me how hard and or tips on changign out a emergency brake cable would be.

I have an 00 150 4x2 v6 and its the right rear tire that needs to be replaced. drums in the rear and disk in the front.

I never worked on anything that new but I assume it would be like the older F-150s with rear drums. You have to remove the brake drum, loosen up the shoes, pop the springs off, remove the rear shoe, R&R the cables through the backing plate and rear shoe, reassemble and readjust the shoes. Check everything over carefully before putting the drum back on. That's the inside part, you can look the outside part over to see what your against there. This is assuming it's pretty much like the older F-150s.

Thanks for the info i looked it over and i appears to be a pretty easy job. i just hope they get me the right cable.
