any way i can run 38's
ok i have a 1999 f150 ex cab with a 3 inch body lift right now and i am running 315/70/r17. and i have 2in torsion keys on the way and plan on cranken my bars another 1in. and 3in blocks to the rear. and is there any way i can run 38in tires with tis set up w.o.trimming to much of my body? i plan on geting 16in wheels for the 38's. a.b. what back spaceing will i need if i can run the 38 or would give me the best shot of runing them?

the biggest you will want to run is 36's
You pretty much wasted your money on the aftermarket torsion keys. You can do what they do with the stock ones.
If you think that you will get 3" of lift out of them then you are in for a rude awakening when your replacing ball joints and cvshafts every few months
I got almost 2" of lift from cranking my stock torsion keys and my angles are pretty bad i would even want to see what 3" would do.
With the 2" blocks in the back your backend is gonna sit higher than the front.
If you really want 38's the get a 6" Fabtech or Sky Jacker this combined with your Body Lift will be your best bet for clearing them.
ill go out on a limb and say the only POSSIBLE way to run 38's with the setup you have mentioned would be to go supper narrow like 38x11.5x16" theres only 2 tires that come in that size that i know of. 1 Is Super Swamper Boggers the other is a Michelin tire.

well thanks for the input. but i know where a 2000 f150 ex. cab 4x4 is with a 3in body 2in blocks in the rear and torsion bars maxed out is, and he is running a set of 37 13.50 17 ****cepek fcll's on it. but looks to had some enter fender mods by a hammer an sawsall on the front but it is not notice able without looking really hard for it. and i really like the way the truck looks. also this truck has 198,000 miles on it and they havent had any problems on it. so would a 17in wheel or 16in wheel be best for me 2 try to run b.c. i figured id save money by buying the 16in wheels in the long run and what kinda back space be the best the 4.5 still.
