new tires on, toyo mt's 35/12.50/18

I got these tires put on the other day, 35/12.50 toyo mt's on oem 18's, definetly feel a lag in performace but the look is worth it. I got the tire shop to put spacers on cause the side lugs were rubbing on the upper control arms, when i get some time i am gonna take the spacers off and see how bad the rubbing actually is. well here are some pics tell me what yall think, trucks a little dirty i had to take it up the hunting camp to test the tires out!

I was looking at those tires, but I dont know what they'd look like on my 20" rims.

what kind of spacers did you use to bring them out? I have slight rubbing at full lock but would like no rubbing.

I'm also curious about the wheel spacers.
Did you have any other rubbing driving up to your hunting spot?

Nice tires, I think I'm going with the 33" on 20" rims when I get home. I'm just debating on if I really need them or if just want them. Can't seem to make up my mind.

I used 1/2" spacers, the tires do not rub any on the control arms at full lock, but the spacers caused the tires to rub barely when turning (on the front valence and fender well) with minor trimming i am sure it will not rub at all. No other rubbing though when driving on rough terrain.

That's what I figured. Even a little work on the plastic with a dremel tool should take care of that.

do u think running 285/75/18's (35.1x11.6) instead of 35x12.5 would eliminate the need for those spacers

Just used spacer plates, thats why i am gonna check and see if i can live with the upper control arm rubbing when i take them off. havent had any problems yet. heard alot of people talk about not using spacers, but does any one know reasons why not to use them?

Love the truck. Got same tires on order will be here monday have lift already sitting on shop floor. I am worried because i am planning on going oem wheels without spacers, and adjusting my driving style but been reading and a little concerned i hope that the toyo tread does not hit upper ball joint just the control arm during hard turns. Have alignment scheduled for morning of 24th any imput would be great Thanks
