Classic ? Black vs polished/chrome
So I'm looking at replacing my pythons with a new set of rims, but the big decision is black vs polished. The main reason I would get black is to be able to leave them on through the winter. I have searched the site and saw a bit of discussion on black wheels and durability in the winter, sounds like all after market rims (regardless of finish) are not durable in the winter. Also, if black wheels get scratched, do the scratches really show up (like a scratch on a black vehicle)? Anyway, these are the wheels I'm considering, all in a 17x9. Any opinions are welcome.

I'm leaning towards the DC-1's or the Eagle 186 (or Classic II's).

Eagle 186 man would look awesome! I think the Cepeks would look similar to your current wheel. I feel as if your model F150 has a real curved appeal rather than squared look, and the round smooth features on the 186 would just flow great! Maybe flat black on bright shiny red would give a sinking effect to the truck.

Thanks for your input everyone. Availability will also dictate which rim I get since the 5x135's are getting harder and harder to get. I'm also considering the Pro Comp 7189's (link below).
Strikeswiftly, I do agree with your opinion, I do like the look of the 186 style wheels on my model of F150, clean and simple. I do like the look of the DC-1's though, there is a member (kingcrete I think is his name) that has the DC-1's on his dark blue rig and they look awesome.
I think I'm down to the DC-1's and the Eagle 186's, the long shot would be the 7189's.

In my opinion, if you keep the polished finish in good shape, to me they look the best out of all the other finishes out there. i do mine with mothers powerball and some aluminum polish, takes no time at all.
i love the shine they have. took em off for winter though
