Help chose tires?
I have a 2005 F150, Crew Cab, 4x2. I have the crummy 255/65/17 Contitracs. I've been looking trying to find a good All Terrain, that will get good road mileage out of them. I'm going to get 265/70 because that's the smallest AT they make haha. I was just wondering of what I want what is best, BFG AT, Toyo Open Country AT, Nitto Terra Grappler, Maxxis Buckshot Mudder, General Grabber AT.. Thanks

"Best" if very subjective.
It has a lot to do with your use, and what you want from a tire. What is most important? Mileage, noise level, off-road traction, snow, price, etc...
The BFG A/T is a huge favorite of many people. They seem to last forever, and have very good reviews in the snow. They are not very loud. If you actually get into the mud a lot (probably not on a 2wd), they cake up pretty good though. Overall, very good tire.
The Toyo Open Country is a great tire too, I ran those on my ranger years ago. They were quiet, rode nicely, worked well offroad and in snow. I have no idea how long they last since they were on the truck when I got it, and I tend to wear tires out faster than most.

Like I said, the BFG A/T is a really good all around tire. There is a reason you seem them on so many trucks, and they have such great reviews on tire sites. Pretty decent sidewall, pretty tough off road. And they will last. Lots of people get over 50k miles from them, and I've heard some pushing 90k miles on a set.

Tire Rack price for BFG AT with load range C is $199 and load range E is $220. Sounds like a reasonable price to me. Nitto Terra Grapplers are going to run about $165 each. Good tires don't come cheap. I personally like the Nittos.

Ah, I'm going to have to see what I can find around town with them. I have lifetime rotate, balance and alignment, so I could just every 4-5k miles get it rotated and balanced and be good to go, right?

Try pricing out some BFG KM2's in a 35x12.50R18
I miss the days of buying cheap 33x12.50's for 15" wheels on my ranger based trucks.
