I've narrowed it down to 3...what would you choose?
OK guys, my Pirelli Scorpian ATR's have just about had it and I've been researching replacements. This is a street driven truck only and I'm trying to find some tires I can get some good mileage out of because I drive around 35k per year for work.
I've narrowed it down to 3 options off tirerack and I wanted to see which ones you thought would be the best.
1) Goodyear Fortera SilentArmor
Temp/Treadwear 720AB
Price- $179
2) Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza
Temp/Treadwear 600AB
Price - $146
3) Continental CrossContact LX
Temp/Treadwear 680AB
Price - $164
I appreciate your opinions.
Thanks.

Damon thanks for your opinion.

That rating does not sound right. I get 60,000 to 70,000 out of them, but no doubt, they are pricy. I'v run lots of tires and I get more for the money out of them than any other.

My 08 f150 gets close to 20mpg on the hiway with the factory Hankook tires which only weigh 30 pounds. The Silent Armor weight 39 for the same size tire. Thats 30% heavier. My question is does the tire weight effect MPG's? I bet it does. I've read lots of posts where oversize tires & lifted trucks get low MPG. Here's a list of tire weight. Ther Silent Armour are the heaviest of the bunch.

I put four Michelin Cross Terrain on my 2001 F150 with 38K miles. traded the truck with 68 K miles and the tires were just shy of the wear bars. Only 30K miles and basicly shot. I was dissapointed. They had great traction in the winter. The cross terain were $180 each plus mounting & balance!!!
The car Michilens I have bought have lasted good, I'm not going to buy truck michilen anymore!!!
next time its Firestone Destination AT or Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo

I work in the commercial truck industry and our Goodyear rep just happened to come in and I asked him about these tires and he said it is an excellent tire and they gurantee 80k out of them. I'll be getting these.
