Post Pictures of 35" Tires with level kit

I'd like for anyone who has 35" tires on their 2004-2008 F150 Crew Cab to post some photos in this thread.

I've now installed the 2.5" front level kit and 3" block in the rear. Trying to figure out what tire combo to use. If you have this setup I really want to see your truck.

I'm looking at Kumho KL71 or the Toyo Backcountry

I just got my 2.5" Autospring Level on the front with 3" blocks in the rear. Sorry I'll get a better photo this is blurry.

I've seen the BFG KM2's but my tire guys are saying they will just detroy the rack and pinion. Let me know opinions and share some photos if you could.

Thanks!
Matt

The BFG's are not going to hurt anything more than any other brand in the same size. Ask them to show you some proof of early rack and pinion failure due to that tire, that is just stupid.

I'd bet the "tire guy's" will ruin a rack & pinion before the BFG's will!! Will somebody raise the BS flag.

Fair enough. Appreciate you opinion. I'm still going with the BFG's.

You are going to re-gear for the 35's right? A certain 35'' tire isn't going to ruin a rack and pinion. You're stock gears won't break because of them, but your mpg and overall performance will be significantly hurt by the 35's with your stock gear ratio.

It actually is not as bad as I expected with 35's and 3.73 gears. Stock tires were 32" tall.
I lost 1-2 mpg, and there is some performance loss, but not bad at all honestly. If someone got in my truck and drove it, they wouldn't likely think it was under-powered. However I do intend to re-gear in the future, but I don't think it's necessary with 3.73's if you're not pulling around a ton of weight.
I remember how much I enjoyed my last truck after I re-geared it, and how much better it pulled, and got around off road. But I also decided when I re-geared it, that I might as well lock front and rear, so I don't plan to touch the gears in my F150 until I have plenty of funds .

1 to 2 mpg is significant when the average beforehand was 13-15.

That's why I'm waiting. Either 4.56's with 33's or 5.13's or lower with 35's. Both with Tru Tracs and a straight axle up front.

Stock it was atleast 15 mpg. This is running in cold weather, on winter gas, long warm ups, lots of idling, etc. Haven't had the truck long enough to see what it does on the highway or in the summer.

1-2 mpg is not significant when changing from a 275/65/18 to a 35x12.50. The truck is now taller, the tires are taller, wider, heavier.
It's about on par with every truck I've had going from 30ish inch tires to 33's. Even after re-gearing you'll generally lose some mileage because of extra drag, extra wheel/tire weight.
5.13's with 35's on an F150 would make you mileage worse than stock. IF you wanted to keep a stock ratio a swap to 4.10's would be more appropriate, but a very small improvement anyway, especially for the cost. 4.30's would be good for mileage likely, 4.56 would be better for performance.
