I agree. I know theres alot of threads out there about painting your roush grille, but could somebody just give me a quick run through. please.

Do you have to lightly sand it, then spray on primer and then paint it and then clear coat it?

I want my grille to be FLAT BLACK so should I just put one coat of clear on it? or no clear coat?

Thanks to whoever can help answer this question.

Don't know if you've seen 07fx4silver's truck, but I think that he has one of the sickest trucks on this site. If you are going down the road of powder coating your bumpers and painting your grill, etc. then you could probably expect your truck to look something similar to 07fx4silver's truck. If you haven't seen his truck, here is a link to one of his possts. https://www.f150online.com/forums/wh...ml#post3375660

x2.. I'm assuming your going for a look very similar to 07fx4silver's truck.. that's prolly the best example I can think of..

anywho.. I agree with the others that the 7005s look awesome, except, I'm not a big fan of them on trucks that aren't all black.. Personally, I think your truck would look sweet with the chrome version of the 7005s.. it might save you a lot of work from having to paint everything else..
check these out.. ProComp 6005s - http://www.procomptires.com/truck-je...05-wheels.aspx
If I were to have bought a Lariat or an XLT, I would have definately gone with the ProComp 6005 wheels.. regardless of what color truck I bought.

If I had bought an FX4 in any other color aside from black, I would have probably gone with the ProComp 7105 wheels.. They are very similar to the 7005s, except they also have a polished lip.. If you do decide to powdercoat your bumpers and black eveything else out, I would recommend the 7105s over anything else.. http://www.procomptires.com/truck-je...05-wheels.aspx
Here's a link to someone that has a DSG FX4 with the 7105s, it's not the best example, but you get the picture (it would look really nice with silver).. https://www.f150online.com/forums/wh...bfg-tires.html

As far as painting the headlights and grille, it is fairly simple.. for the Roush Grille, pick up some Krylon Fusion from your local Wal-Mart.. They carry a Flat Black, and that's all you need.. no extra primers or clears.. Just lightly sand and clean the surface and your good to go..

I do like the 7105's with the polished lip, but I'd rather get the all chrome ones and not paint anything, but I love those 7005's in flat black, it's just I dont know if I can tie those rims into anything with my truck. I would like to spend the extra money and get 20" rims with 35's, but I'm figuring like another $800 bucks if I want that setup. So I'm thinking I'm just gonna go with an 18" rim instead, but I'm not settling for anything under a 35" tire. Being 18 and paying for your own toys isnt easy, so you have to find ways to cut corners and get stuff for a better price

Okay last time I saw that truck it was leveled with factory fx4 rims. I didnt know he lifted it now with those rims. I'm painting the roush grille and my headlights, maybe I'll do that saturday, I actually got the day off for once. And the bumpers will be next on my list after I get the lift, tires, and rims installed.

THANK YOU RADIO_FLYER AND ZERUIN YOU GUYS GOT IT PERFECT!! THATS THE EXACT LOOK I WANT!!

I'm thinking about that front light bar too and maybe some nerf bars like these....

i like those nerf bars , but i havent seen any pics or anyone having RBP steps.
thats not a bad price considering its Rbp and free shipping lol
but the N-Fabs' are like $377 right now at 4 wheelparts.com , but the shipping is a little ridiculous , so im not sure what to do

also i would go with the wheel-to-wheel steps , and in the Rbp description it say 3 different things of what size they are

All 3 look good, I think the 7005's look the best though. Feel free to PM me if you would like a quote on any of the three
