Toyo M/T a rough rider?
I was talking to a guy at a local tire place where I may buy my tires. I am undecided between Toyo M/T and Cooper STT both in 295/70/17.
He said he has ran both and the Toyo was a much rougher riding tire. He said I'd have to run it at 40 - 50 psi so as not to rattle my teeth out. I was set on the Toyos before this so now I am stepping back a bit.
Any Toyo M/T users think it's too rough riding? I have been researching for many months now and this is the first complaint I have heard of it riding too rough.
Damn, just when I thought I had finally made a decision
The Cooper is significantly cheaper and lighter as well. But I love the look of the Toyo and I know it is quality....
I need some help fellas

the toyos are made of a HARD rubber compound so that might be why they say the toyos ride rough.
But its gonna be one of the smoothest and longest lasting MT on the market.
Im running Super Swampers and as long as they are balanced and aired down to about 30 PSI they ride great. But you can only expect 30k out of them and maybe get lucky with 35k

At low speeds... starting out speeds... you can feel the Aggressive nature of the tire vibrate through the truck... however during normal driving speeds I find the MT's to be rather smooth and comfortable!
Wouldn't claim they had a rough ride though! I recommend them!

I just got mine last Saturday and I say x2 on everything here. When you're going <10mph you can feel the tread, but anything over that is incredibly smooth. Road noise is a bit louder than stock, obviously, but not at all what I expected. You can barely hear them. With the radio on, you can't hear them at all. I highly recommend them. Not to mention they look bad . I've gotten a ton of compliments on them in the last week.
