How do you folks afford these tires

I currently have the General Grabber AT2's on mine in a 265/70/17 cause I was in the same situation as you about 2 years ago but had to have tires ASAP for a good price. My impression on them now is that they are good offroad for an at, I have put them through their paces in mud, snow, rocks, etc. and have been quite impressed with them for an a/t that rode quiet as they do but with only 20,000 on them they are looking very worn (one of the reasons I bought them was the 60,000 mile warranty they offered) and probably wont last but another 5,000 or so. That being said if I could do it again Id drop a little more coin and got a more aggressive tire that would have lasted just as long. Also don't know the ply rating on them but I've had 3 flats in them over the past 2 years with 2 of them being unable to be repaired, just my 2 cents tho

I will have to look at mine closer, but maybe it was due to the roads here. Lots and lots of curves.

Hey that's not funny seeing how I had my Pro Comp Xtreme AT's stolen last year.
I saved for an entire year to get exactly what I wanted (only to have them stolen) so the repair shop where my truck was parked paid for my current set of wheels and tires.

I got the Kumho AT KL78 and so far they have been a really good tire. I got the 285/70/17 for around $130 a tire. Not a bad price from tirerack. They have a fairly deep lug pattern that allows them to clean themselves very well. They have a 14/32 tread depth compared to the 16/32 for bfg, so pretty close. Mostly though, they are very economically priced.
