I bought a set of used 17'" pro comp 6001 wheels. From my research they come in 8" width and 9" width. The question I have is which one do I have? I do not know if you measure from the outside of the rim to the outside of the rim or do you measure where the tires seat in the rim. Outside to outside is 9" on the rim. And what I call where the tire seats is 8". Any help would be great.

 

17x8, measure the total width and minus an inch.

 

You measure from the inside, bead to bead. You have 8's.
