What tire brand,best for $$$$$$

I have a 2005 XLT stock continental contitracs just gave me a fantastic 27,000 miles till showing cord.I've been out of work awhile and $$ is tight.I don't want cheap,I want quality for the price.I'm looking at 255/75 17".I hear all the brands but what do you guys think....Thank you

I was going to say BFG AT - but they're close to $200 for your size.

Damon from TireRack (forum member) has pretty good things to say about the Firestone Destination AT for about $130 in your size (tiretack.com price)
