Talking Help me with wheel selection and tire size please

I have Ford's 16" wheel package on my '03 Supercab Flareside with uncalled for tiny 235/70/R16 tires (some off-brand I never heard of "Wild-Trac").

Tire size is going to be 285/60/R18 - is this ok or will it be too big? My truck is sitting stock height.

I have decide I want to go to an 18" rim - Chrome or Stainless and not an off-road 8 to 12 hole wheel.

I've narrowed it down to 4 choices:

The AR Artillery isn't out yet.
The Forte F38 is ok.
The Eagle 178 is cheap (price wise) and looks like the AR Artillery
The MB Gunner 5 is quite similar to the Forte F38

American Racing ATX series Artillery:

Forte F38:

Eagle Alloy Series 178:

MB Wheels Gunner 5:

You probably need to call around and see what you can finds available, in the 5x135 bolt pattern. There are a bunch of wheel lsited in this on manufacturers site, but when you try and order, they are eother back orded or not available any more. I have been trying to find wheels for my Expedition, and every tiem I find one I like they tell me they are no longer available, because it is an obsolete pattern, and the low volume doen't justify the cost.

All those rims are in the retarded 5x135 that I need. The Forte and Eagle are in stock but the AR isn't on the market yet. American Racing is at the moment just teasing you with it on their site.

Added another choice the MB Gunner 5. Saw the Gunner 6 on another truck here and really liked it, but since I don't have a 6 lug truck.........The 5 it is.

I vote for the artillery's. I would rather spend a few extra bucks and get what I really wanted rather then maybe second guessing my decision later.

It is all about what you want and can justify. Prices really aren't that bad, I just spent a little less than that for my Helo 791s, and thought it was a bit pricey. Of course I spent more, than the ebay price, per wheel for my G.

I like the Eagles the best, the Artillerys next in line.
