tires and wheels for a lifted Expy
I have a 99 expy 4x4. I am planning a 3" body lift and I have 305/70/16 on OEM wheels now. I like the width of the tires I have now ,but want to go with a 35 BfG mud terain TA/KM2. Can any one tell Me the P-metric size for a 35" with about the same width of the 305/70 /16/. Will the 35 fit the OEM and if not what size aftermarket 16" wheel would be required? Also do I need to do a level kit along with the 3"BL.
Also I have the 4.6L and I do not know what gears i have. How bad will the 35's hurt performance? Thank's in advance for the help...Hal
Oh Yea ,this is the lookThat I want.

Those look like 315/75-16 (35x12.50) BFG AT KO's on 16x10 Mickey THompson Classic wheels.
A 315mm wide tire is a little too wide for the oem 16x7 wheels, but then again so are your 305/70-16's. You can fit them on a 16x10 or a 16x8 inch wheel. Personally, I'd go with 16x10's. Whether or not you need to trim are need additional lift willl depend on the wheel you use. With a 10 inch wide wheel, you will need to trim the front bumper's lower valance for clearance. I'd also crank up the torsion bars to level the truck and gain a little more clearance.

I ran 305,s on my 98 XLT with torsion bars and coil spacers.Trimmed the front valence.I also ran the same set up plus a 3" body lift to get 315,s under it.Both set ups I ran 16x10,s.This one had the 4.6 in it and believe it or not,I didnt notice much difference in the mpg.
That one you have pics of has 35,s,3" body lift and spring[coil] spacers. If you decide to part with your 305,s..lmk.I might be looking
