Another tire question

Just trying to get an idea before I pull the trigger on some wheels & tires and end up not being happy.

Currently my FX2 has a 2.5" AS and 1" block in the back.

What would be the largest Nitto Terra's I could fit on either one of these set of wheels:

18x9...-12mm/4.53" backspace
or
18x9...+18mm/5.71" backspace

I want something that fills up the fender more.

Thanks in advance!

I'd go with 325/60-18's (33x13.00).

I don't know how much of a difference having only .5" more lift will make in the front, but my 285/65/18's rub with my 2" level kit. I think the 325/60's would rub badly on a 2wd. Maybe you could fit test them before you purchase though.

Sorry, I was thinking you had an FX4. I'd go with a narrower 33 inch tire like the 285/65-18 or the 285/60-18 (32x11.50)

Blkbuty has the same setup as me but with the Terra Grapplers and he has zero rubbing. I think that would be your best bet. 285/65/18 Terra Grapplers

Well I had a change in plans.

Now it looks as if I am going with a 20x10 -25mm/4.5" backspace.

What size tire would work with that? A rubber band? LOL

Basically yes, because of the wheel. That wheel will stick out 3.5 inches farther than the oem 17 and 18 inch wheels and cause fitment problems.

Well that sucks! Guess I should have done a little more research before buying them. Thats what I get I guess.

Nothing will work for the time being until a lift is put on?

Sorry for all the questions and thanks for your help!

Well it goes from bad to worse.

Guess there is no other option besides the 6" lifts. And a body lift is out of the question.

I was incorrect on the backspacing as stated in my previous post.

It is actually 5.5" of backspacing. Does that make anything any better or worse?

0.21 inch difference won't be much different.

Cool. Just thought I would ask. Thanks again!

I went to a local tire place and they told me that a 31" tire would fit no problem. I don't believe that though. They also said that a 275/55/20 would fit.

Wonder what calculations they are using?

Post some pics of your truck if you have some. I would like to see how it looks with the 1" block in the rear as I plan on adding one soon.
