Got 35s on w/ NO lift or leveling...w/pics

I have an 06 FX4 that is NOT leveled yet. The new wheels and tire I got for the Wifes H3 are dull bolt pattern...yep they also work on the Ford.

Wheels are Ultra 22x9.5 with 38mm offset and 6-3/4 backspacing. Tires are 325/50/22 terra grapplers. Just put them on my f150 to see what it looked like and to check the fitment of backspacing. They fit on great and do NOT hit anything even with that big backspacing. In reverse there is a slight rub noise coming from the rear outer fender stock flair, but that it. Yea on a none leveled stock truck. NOw I know I could not drive it this way due to bumps. I love the look of the 35s on 22 rims....so Im off to get a 2.5 level kit for the front and to change out the stock FX4 rear 2inch blocks to a 3 inch block. Gives me 1/2inch rake.

Pics.
Stock

front of tire at slight turn..this is the closest to hitting here.

Rear of tire at slight turn...this is closest to hitting here ( does slight rub in reverse.

More pics over all.

Thats it...so yes 35s will work when leveled. NOW am I missing anythings....when I install a 2.5 level kit that should NOT change anything to the clearance issue of the backspacing...correct??????

I only had 1 on the H3 so far to check its clearance before getting the others. It makes that little thing beafy. Tire sticks out 3/4 to an inch but not rubbing. Need to crank the bars to level up 1-1/2 inch in front.

For suspension flex...like I said could not ( suggest not ) driving it untill I get it leveled. Took the wheels off right after pics. Need the tax money now so I can get my set for the truck now...thinking black chrome wheels? O...Im not a hard core offroader, other wise it would be a 6inch lift going on.

That's why he's getting leveled. That looks awesome--you're gonna get a lot of turned heads with that setup.

Whew, that's too close for me. Saying it won't rub, well, is a looong shot. I thought mine didn't rub, but, when turning too sharp, they rub, like everyone else on here running that size tire. Looks good though. It'll look even better with the level and block.

waitin to see

you still have to account for the flex in the tire while rolling and turning, I'm still waiting to see 35's on the factory 20's with a 2 in level

Check this out, he has 35's on OEM 20's: https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...assifieds.html

Another option you can get, is BFG A/T 285/65/R20, which is ~ 34.4" X 11.5" R 20" - which can be run with a level kit w/ 0 issues
