Talking Tire Pressure Gauge..

I own a 2007 F150 XLT 5.4, I have a set of 18" wheels with Nitto Grapplers, now my Q is if I have all tires running at the recommended 44 PSI, why won't my tire gauge symbol disapear on my dash...in other words, it reads as if there was low pressure on all tires...L8TR

yup, stock or aftermarket rims?

if aftermarket youll have to find someone to fit new sensors. if it means that much to you.

if stock wheels, look in the book and follow the procedures for re-registering the sensors.

tpms

If you want to you can find everything that you need (straps holders the sensors and the reset tool on EBAYU. Not that expensive.

I'm having new tires put on my stock wheels. Should I have to pay the shop installing the tires extra? Isn't the TPMS sensor in the wheel, not the tire?

I know my questions are somewhat vague, but I have almost no background knowledge about TPMS. Feel free to point me to other posts that explain in more detail. (I searched, I promise.)

If you have the stock rims the tpms should be on a strap going around center of the rim. I believe thats how ford does theres. My 08 lariat is like that. Some have the sensors in the valve stem. But since you ahve bigger tires that can hold more air im not sure if the tmps sensors are preset to a certine psi or not. I dont recall in the book either , it saying how much psi you can go. No you should be charged any extra the strap should be on the rim,, they just need to be more carefull not to damage them mounting the tire. If the tmps is in the valve stem they might but cant see you paying that much more.
