Talking What a difference!!!

Changed out my 05 f-150 SC 4x4 tires today..Went from OEM Americraps 255/70/17 to Firestone Destination A/Ts 285/70/17

Unbelievable difference in ride, look, handling!! Truck feels stuck to the road!!
got em online clevelandtire.com ..think its a sub of tirerack..Two minutes after I ordered them another online dealer had em for $55 less..my loss..but

paid $655 delivered $78 mount/balance ..$733 done deal at the local Firestone dealer store!!
This same clown wanted $1,006 out the door for same tires last week..Hey u gotta keep the lights on..just not on my dime!!..lol

285s are the size

Good to know.
The more folks I engage on this forum, the more I'm convinced that 285s are the optimum size for filling the well and increasing capability with a minimal affect on performance, mileage, clearance, and speedo settings.
Sure - you can go wider and taller easily enough, but it will begin to cost you.
