I can't get my back rotors off!!

I've been pounding away at these back rotors and no luck. Any suggestions? I also heard heating the rotors with a torch would help.....

I had to actually get up in and behind the rotor in order to get a solid hit on it. I was previously hitting the inside of the rotor while standing on the outside. But once i got myself situated up in there where i could get some good solid swings in, it came right off.

That and a torch

Have you adjusted down the e-brakes? They adjust just like any drum brake.

You're gonna pay someone to do exactly what everyone is suggesting. All I do is loosen the adjuster, which way I forget but turn it enough and you'll soon figure that out. I'm assuming you got that, so sticking pry bars in and wedging it, rubber or better mallot. There is no magic, just force. It will come off but be prepared for new rotors or a turn of the old ones. I apparently warped mine bad by doing this. This is a good time to freshen up the e-brake setup and anti-seize the hub for future removal. Mine are acting up again, the shoes are most likely cracked and junk so when it stops raining and I have time, off they come.

spray some WD40 on the backside of the rotor (use the straw and spray the inside mounting surface), the rotors are probably rusted on, let 'em sit over night then try to BFH method

at least try it one more time before you take it to a shop

At least if you could get something to pry against the shoes, you'll be ok. They're probably shot anyways so don't worry about bieng nicey nice to them. 90% of people don't use them anyways.

ya mine were stubborn too. Just sprayed a bunch of WD-40 on it, took a rubber hammer, and went to town...eventually they both came loose.
