2004 Expedition tires

I just got a 2004 Eddie Bower Expedition 4X4 and would like to put a small lift and some off road tires on it. I am thinking maybe as big as a 32 or 33 inch tire. Most likely a BFG all terrain. Does anyone have any pictures or recomendations?

Your OEM 265/70-17's are basically a 32x10.50 tire. A set of 285/70-17 (33x11.50's) would look great. I'd add a set of 2 or 2.5 inch Autospring or Daystar spacers for an even more aggressive look.

I am thinking I will do the 285/70-17 with a 3" front lift and 2" rear lift. I am planning on BFG all terrain tires.

Anyone have recomendationd for a lift?

What size and offset for 17" rims. I do not want the tires sticking out past the fenders.

Autospring or Daystar.
THe oem wheels are 17x7.5 with 5.5 inches of backspacing. Stay close to that if you don't want the tires sticking way out.

I wouldn't go 3 inches up front. That will create some pretty severe ball joint angles.
Also, $377 is way, way overpriced for 4 spacers. The kits I recommended are less than $200.

OK, I made up my mind. I am going to get the Daystar Comfort Ride Kit KF09110BK. Assuming it will raise my front about 2" and the back about 1.5".

I measured from the ground to the bottom of the wheel well and the front was 34.5" and the back was 35". This kit should put both back and front at 37". I think that will be just right.

Thanks for the help.

A couple more things. Do I need longer shocks? Can I put 285-70-17 tires on the stock rims? Can I correct the speedo/odometer for the bigger tires?

No, you don't need longer shocks.
Yes, 285's will fit the oem wheels easily.
You can correct the speedo/odometer with most of the aftermarket computer tuners. However, the 285's are only about an inch taller than the oem tires so it won't be off much.

Please do. You don't see many lifted 03-09 Expys.
