Gas Milage

What kinda gas mileage are guys with 33 or 35x1250 getting? Any special chips, programmers, and stuff like that? Right now I have OEM 20's w/ OEM Pirelli ATR 275/55/R20 and I get ~16 mpg... Just wondering what to expect when I upgrade. Also, any suggestions as to whether or not to go with a smaller rim or keep the OEM 20's? How would that affect gas mileage (if at all)? Thanks!

according to my edge my mpg's stayed the same from 33's to 35's .

i get about 13 around town .

i would recommend a tuner , since the tuner my mpg's have been about the same with my 35's now vs when i had my stock tires. i think i was getting 14 stock.

+ it depends on your driving habits , if you drive like an old lady it will obviously be better than the way i drive

yeah... as of lately, I have been driving like an old lady to save gas, lol. And it actually worked. I was getting 13.5 - 14 mpgs, now Im getting ~16 something another... but yeah, I think I'll look into a tuner.

IDNC, did you regear for your 35's? If so, how much did it cost you?

i got 12-13 with stock tires.

and i'm still getting about 350-400 miles per tank with my wide *** 33's.

i ate up one tank and got the same.

i haven't done any real calculations with the 33's though, sorry.

P.S.- i'm stock, no gears, tuner, or anything, and i'm a 4.6.

i kinda have a lead foot.

I went from 30.5" tires to 33's and I might have lost .5 mpg. I have the 5.4 and average around 14 mpg.

When I had 35's I was getting 12.5 unless I drove like an old lady i'd get about 14. Now that I have 37's i'm getting 10.5. I don't have any programmer or gears yet.

305/65-18's (33.7 x 12) and I'm averaging between 15.5 - 16.5 with an Edge on winter gas. That will go up substantiually once the summer gas comes back out, and warmer temperatures.

Picking up speed fast to get to your cruising speed is better on gas than just slowly getting up to cruising speed.

wow... Im thinkin about getting the Edge now... Cause I was looking at putting a body lift on and some 37x1250 or 35x1250 on stock rims - or - 33x1250 or35x1250 on aftermaket.

Just curious... I looked in your photos and saw pics of your exhaust exiting straight out the back and some 45 degrees out the side (thats how mine is). Did you have either one of those setups before the BL? Or if you re-did the exhaust, how was it put on?

I'm trying to figure out what to do with my tow hooks and my exhaust if I choose to do the BL.

Anyone know the measurements of the frame where the towhooks connect???? I was thinking about putting two reciever d-ring mounts on there and running it straight out the lower valance so I would still have something to hook to that doesn't hang down below the valence.
