Little help guys. Can you REALLY see a difference

between the 17" and 18" rims and tires? My 04 FX4 had the 18s on it. Now my 08 XLT has the 17" rims and tires. I am looking at getting new rims in either the 18"or stay with the 17".
1. the 18" tires are up there in price (275/65/r17)
2. Will I really see a mileage decrease
3. Is there THAT much of a difference visually?
thanks.

I have 17's on my 07 screw XLT and I hate the look of them. I just bought a set of 20's from a guy who had them on a FX4 who got 18's for his truck. I think these trucks look better with bigger wheels, they're more proportionate.

^^^^^^x2 like he said the 04-08s I think look better with the larger wheels on them usually 20s. They just have a larger body styly and need a larger wheel to keep from looking small.

x3 on the bigger wheels. Sometimes my oem 20"s look a lil on the small side.

I can't see a difference in 17s vs 18s. If you put them right next to eachother then yeah prob. But not as i'm driving down the road.

I agree with what most have said. I think 17's look too small on these trucks, especially with like a 35" tire. I don't like a big fat sidewall, but that's just me.

Here you go. Black is 17s and white is 18s.
