Is this a good deal?

A guy around here wants to trade me 17" mag wheels with Toyo open country a/t's on them with 8000 (285/70 17) for my stock wheels and tires + $500 (the tires look new). I drive a 2007 F-150 STX with the 17" plain janes and the chrome-ish wheel cover (255/70 17).

I really wanted to get some different rims from tire rack, but if this was good deal, I might do it for the time being just because I want some bigger tires on my truck. But if it makes sense to just wait a little longer, then that's fine.

i'd say absolutely. but it's all your personal preference, and how many miles are on his tires?
