Goodbye General Americrap, hello Safety (BFG A/T's)

So I bought my 05 a few months ago, used. Passes inspection, but about 3 weeks ago, I'm on the highway when my truck starts to wobble. Checked my tires, looked good, tire guage read what it was supposed to.

Turns out 3 (count'em, 3) of my tires had belts shifting in them, and one of them was completely about to tear apart.

Anyway, so much for confidence in any tire other than a BFG. I ran A\T KO's on my previous ranger and I think it was the last really tough part on that truck.

285/70/17's on stock steel wheels...no lift, no rub

Yup, I hated the stock Americraps! I put on the BFG's AT's same size, on at 11,000 miles! Now that I am running 20's I run the BFG's AT's during the late hunting season,in late fall-thru winter until spring! They are one awesome tire!...........

Excellent choice. I was going to go with the 285/70/17s but the stock 17s are hideous, hoping to get a set of pro comp 18x9s to compliment a set of 305/65/18 A/T KOs

I was actually looking at another set of wheels, but decided that the stockers were good enough I have a mustang project that currently takes most of my money from me, so I've decided to be budget friendly with the truck and keep it to function over form. Once the car is completed, I'll probably buy myself some decent wheels and a nice lift

Thanks for the kind words, Gentlemen...I'll be honest, the truck feels alot more surefooted than it did yesterday morning
