will this fit.lol

i have a 3 inch truxxx (spacer) and have been running 315/70/17's on stock rims.im looking to get some new rims and tires but keep the spacer lift for now.im looking to run a 17x9 pro comp 7005 black rims.I get confused on the backspacing thing.the back space on that rim 4.75in.So would they fit better then the stockers? rubbing?i wanna get another set of 315/70/17 tires.i wanna run 17 inch rims and tires. Thanks

sorry 2WD

some people say 5.5 b/s but i cant see why a 4.5 or 4.75 wouldnt fit

I'm shocked you fit 35's on a 4x2.
You are wanting to go with a wide wheel with less backspacing. This is gonna push the tire and wheel outward causing fitment issues.

then what would you suggest? a 17x8? should i try a smaller tire like a 285/70/17 with the 17x8 or 17x9.agian its a cost thing and i dont want 18's or 20's.Thanks for all your help

im thinking a 285/70/17 with a 17x8 inch rim with 4.5 b/s should work

I'd say make that an 8 inch wide wheel with 5 or 5.5 inches of bs.

The more you stick out in the front caused by a wider wheel and backspacing more than stock you will have rubbing problems in the front. Usually the lower wheelwell area. A 9" wheel with 5 inches of backspacing will stick out 2 inches more than stock. A 8" wheel with 5.5 inches of BS only 1/2" more than stock. The wheels have to be tucked inside the wheelwells so the tires won't rub in the front when turning. Usually the largest tire on a leveled 4x4 would be a 35x12.5. The same rule applies to 17 and 18" wheels.

i did find a pro comp rim that is a 17 x.8.5 inch rim with 5 bs. would that work with a 315/70 17.its hard to find a black rim that backspacing since cost is a issue

Honestly, on a 4x2 I don't think so. I'm shocked you fit 35's. I'd drop down to a 33 inch tire and that wheel may work for you.
