BIG Problem w/Michelins. Was at Tireshop for 8

hours today. The balanced, rebalanced, re-mounted, called the rep at corporate from Eagle Alloy, put Hub-centric rings, balanced by hub and by lugs, 7 times total, finally at 5pm (I was there from 8am) the manager said lets try one last thing, change the two front tires, maybe the shake will go away. Sure enough after all that work, all that time, all the phonecalls, it was the damn Michelin tires I had just purchased from him. He put on BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A Tour. NO MORE SHAKING!!!!! It was the LTX A/S tires I had bought, they were bad somehow. Finally, thats over!!!!

I was, but probably not as much as the guys mounting, balancing, test ride, only to do it over and over: only to find out it was the tires!!!!!!
I was aggravated, but why make an issue out of it, they were really trying to help, and in the end, they did.

Yes, I must give credit to Frank Silva the manager of American Tire & Auto Care in Mercerville NJ. The entire crew who worked on this actually stopped only for lunch. there was about 2-3 guys constantly working on this problem. I would recommend them any day of the week for the professionalism they showed during the entire episode.

Yup, direct trade. No problems. Originally they told me the BFs were 20-30$ cheaper /tire than the Michelin LTX A/Ss. But looking at the Tirerack, they were actually more so I'm happy.
