Nitto TerraGrablers 325/65/R18 on Stock Rims

Folks,

I am going to buy a set of 4 325/65/R18 Nitto TerraGrablers. I am putting these on stock rims along with a 2" Ready Lift Leveling Kit.

Any reason why I should'nt?

Any other suggestions?

PS: I was going to buy the stock tire size and wait for the Raptor but I've heard on the grape vine that the Raptor is going to cost anywhere between 55K - 65K and I cant afford that much $$$ right now.

Personally I wouldn't put a tire that wide on a stock rim, I think the suggested rim width for a 325 is at least a 9 or 9.5" wide wheel. But other guys have put 35x12.50's on stock wheels and dont have problems so I guess it could work but I think its really pushing the limit

Yah those are like a 13" wide tire... i dont think a tire shop will even install those on factory wheels.

Some shops wont even install the 12.50".

You might have some rubbing issues as well with a 35x13 tire on a leveling kit. Somebody correct me if i am wrong.

Yeah I figured they would rub a full lock. Im getting a great deal on the tires. 215.00 each, but I dont want to go cheap and risk my safety.

I think the stock rims are 18x9.

The OEM wheels are 18x7.5 inches. A 325mm wide tire is too wide for the stock wheels. Mounting too wide of a tire on a narrow wheel can cause the center portion of the tire's tread to wear faster than normal, similar to running too much air pressure.

I also have an option to but some "returned" American Racing rims for 100.00 each. 20".... Let's see how it goes.

Not sure where you're located, but I have two of these tires that are probably about 80% tread that we could work something out on if you're interested. I was going to do the same as you since I already had two of them, but haven't gotten around to getting two more sooo....lemme know

People with 325/60/18's on stock rims with only a level kit have rubbing issues so i'm sure the 325/65's will rub bad.

From what I've gathered talking to people who run the 325/65's, yes it does rub, but it is not bad like many of the people not running them say. They just rub at full lock. Note that I am talking about the terra grapplers or comparible tread. I am sure that something with huge side lugs would be pretty bad.

I am running the same tire you want to run on my stockers on my truck. You can see them in my album. I had a slight rub at almost full lock backing up. I trimmed a small portion of the inside of the fender flare on the front rear of the fender well and there is now no problem. I have a 2" AS on the front of mine. So, to answer your question, yes, you can fit them and you should be ok. Also, I have a 1/4" spacer on each wheel that we made to give me a little more clearance on the upper control arm. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I have 325/65/R18 Nitto Terras plus a front end leveling kit and they rub, but not enough that it really hinders me from parking or anything like that. They dont rub on the fenders on my truck but at almost full turn the tire will hit the control arms.

OK learning the hard way. I installed 325/65/18 Nitto Terra's and they look nice. I have recieved alot of complements.
Here is the problem.
I rubs at full lock on the upper control arm (I can live with this) but the inner sidewall rubs on the edge of the upper control arm. This poses a safety concern for me.
I am going to swap them for 305/65/18's... Any draw backs on these tires?
