are you 16-18 years old?
seriously, that was STUPID.
38's without a re-gear. WOW.
seriously, i see kids at school doing dumb stuff like this all the time.
i'm 17 and i did blow out the transmission on my diesel.
atleast i didn't have 15 people telling me not too.
you're making a huge mistake running those 38's, if you thought that lift was expensive then your new transmission is going to make you cry.

The 4r70w is a POS prolonged driving with oversized tires WILL cause problems, i promise. Regearing will help alot.
You can get away with alittle more with the 4r75 but not much, ask Merctech...
But as they said take it easy... NO OFFROADING and ride on prayers that everything will hold up.

were not flipping, were just aware of the damage that will be to come..if hes still in high school, then more than likely he drives like that too (Im not saying that he does, im just sayin most high schoolers do)...and that can lead to a failure in his drivetrain in the very near future...but X2 what trimble said...NO OFFROADING!!!

37/38's without re-gearing is a major cause of kids trucks failing around here.
or... running 500-600 HP on your diesel without doing anything to the tranny (did i REALLY do that?)
i've had 2 of my friends have to replace trannys in there diesels (3 including myself)
and 1 kid i know ran 38's on his silverado. Offroaded every now and then, but mostly drove like a teenager, and he has to replace his tranny.
I'm just trying to help my man out, re-gear that thing now man.

I understand what yall are trying to say and i am aware that i might need a new transmission. Im taking it easy and saving up the money for some gears. Gas isnt too bad on it. I keep it out of overdrive to save my tranny a little and try to keep it under 2RPM most of the time. I do not drive stupid with the 38's on there. Too many things could happen. But thanks for yalls advice and im gonna get some pictures up tomorrow since I dont have any of it right now!

My ranger and bronco II both needed new transmissions when ran and offroaded without gearing.
It really depends on how the truck was drove up to this point. IF it was dogged then this might be the straw that breaks the camels back. If it was taken care of and NEVER abused then it would stay kickin longer.
and ****** really doesnt know what rear gears he has since the replaced rear axle. most likely its the same as the stock but who knows. Unless he found out already. been awhile since i talked to him.
