No TPM sensors on wheels–what happens?

Looking to buy used OEM 20" wheels and tires for my TPMS equipped '07. For whatever reason, most of these sales for used OEM wheels/tires do not have the sensors. What happens if I just mount these wheels up? Will the TPMS light on the dash stay lit forever? How much of a hassle is it for a shop to remove the sensors from my factory wheels and re-install on the new rims? How do you folks deal with this?

I know, I don't have a clue

nothing major, just get a blinking light on the dash. truck will run fine, nothing to worry about.

NOT so fast, the above only applies to the lower grade f150's without message center, if you have these packages: lariat or above (?) you also get this message and a chime which has to be cleared by 2 pushes of the button every day or the message (tire sensor failure) will show and nothing else. A royal pain, I promise my next set WILL have the TPMS installed.

Too bad they are not 17". I have a set of OEM bands to mount the sensors. $75.00 for the set. If you goto Ford for the 20" bands, they are $85.00 each! the aftermarket bands use the 3M adhesive only!
