Question 18x7.5 OEM W/ 305/60/18

My rims are factory 18x7.5 and the tires i bought are 305/60/18's
when the tires arrived, they have a sticker on them that say's approved for 8"to 11" wheels... Will they work on my 7.5's or should i get started sending them back to the dealer?????

Yes, they will work. It is pushing it, but a lot of people have run 305mm and 315mm wide tires on the OEM wheels without any problems.

No. The OEM 20's are 8.5 inches wide and the OEM 17 and 18's are 7.5 inches wide.

I agree with Wandell, a lot of member's are running the 305's on the stock wheels. 1/2" won't matter in the least. Those size tires on the stock wheels look great on a leveled 4x4. Check out some of the truck's on this site with that setup, they look great and have had no problem's.

Exclamation Redo

upon second look, the tire's say 8.5 to 11, does this change the fact that they will fit on the 7.5 rims.... thanks.

When you squeeze a tire that wide that far inside of its rim range it stresses the shoulder area of the tire and crowns the treadcap. This overstress causes heat, which will be the demise of the tire. People do it, but just because you can does not mean you should.

I had 305/65/18 BFG AT/KO's on the factory 18" x 7.5" wheels... Worked great...
