Rim With Lift Question

I was wondering if my stock wheels would work with a 7.5" Fabtech lift or if I would have to get new ones.

If I do need to get new ones would this rim work?

I am asking this because I have heard about problems with backspacing on stock rims and the inside of the rim getting chewed up from the spindle.

i did some research for you and fabtech says that a 16x8 wheel will work but the kit requires 4in backspace the wheels you are looking at have 5inches of backspacing so you would be having clearance issues with them as far as the stock wheel lay it face down on the ground and measure from the wheel hub to the top of the wheel and that will give you your backspacing the only thing i can think of is that the stock wheels are probably not going to be wide enough for the side of tire for that kit cause you will probably run a 35x12r16 or equivalant which you would need atleast an 8in rim or wider

Thanks a ton man. So it looks like I'll have to invest some spacers in the mean time while i find some rims.

I wonder if someone is confusing year models. The OEM 97-03 wheels have 4.5 inches of backspacing and so do most aftermarket wheels.
