Anyone running 305/55R20 with 2" lift
Sorry for the numerous threads guys but I am still fighting this...
Anyone running 305/55R20 with 2" lift do they rub with aftermarket wheels? I have these on my truck now and I rub on upper and lower control arms and sway bar on stock wheels.. I am wondering if aftermarket wheels will fix this or do I just need smaller tires?
Please help!
Specs of wheels I am looking at now is:
+12 offset 20 x 9.0 6 x 135 5.47" BS

No rubbing on mine.........
I'm running that tire size with OEM wheels on my 08 Screw and have no rubbing issues with the 2" AS kit. Mind you, I don't have a lot of room between the tire and the upper control arm especially, but no problems so far.
I'm running Nitto TG's just for the record. Seems I've seen some post where the tire brand/type caused problems due to the large lugs on the side. Just a thought. Hope you get 'er resolved.

Well, to update, i had quite a bit of rub with my 20x9 -12mm offset 4.5" BS with 305-55-R20 Mickey thompson ATZ's on my 09 last night. Need to put in my leveling kits first. If the i had 5 to 5.5" of BS i probably would have been fine, but with the low BS. there if to much rotational travel, especially with the narly lugs in these tires. Will have the the level and tires on by Saterday though. Might still require a little trimming though.

it might make a difference whether the truck is 4x4 or 4x2 and you guys are not being specific where the tires are rubbing onto.
in my case, 4x2 w/ oem 20s on 305/55/20 terra grapplers along w/ bilstein 5100 set to 2" does not require trimming of bumper valance (and im even running hd valance). i have roughly 1/4" of space between inner sidewall and upper control arm. the only rubbing i have is w/ the sway bar, upper control arm and lower section of body frame when i turn the steering wheel exactly past 1.5 revolution. As long as avoid having the steering wheel turned past 1.25, then i'm good to go. hope that helps
