biggest tire on a 3in body lift

what the title says....also I have 16in rims (stock)

currently I have nitto terra grapplers and they are worn out (well the front two) and I am going to replace all four of them but right now they are a size 305x70r16 and I was wandering with the 3in body lift how much bigger can I go with out rubbing, also because mainly the back looks like it has tiny tires now that I have the lift

on the 97-03's 4x4's you can clear 35's with a Body lift, it helps to crank the torsion keys up to level the truck.

IF you want to try to clear 36's (I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS) but it is possible

1. crank your torsion bar adjustment keys all the way up,
2. Add the 3" body lift (performance accessories)
3. find a NARROW set of 36's Super Swamper TSL radials worked for me 36x12.5x16 they were only 9" wide.
4. you will have to trim the plastic on the bumpers, and the tires will rub if you offroad. Unles you get crazy with cutting the bumpers like i did.

I ran this setup for about a year, it worked for me. I knew i had plans of going bigger and new id be getting a custom bumper so it didnt care too much about cutting mine.

this setup will only work with stock wheels, you will rub the frame and torsion bars.

i think aftermarket wheels and 35's is a much better choice.

I'd stick with 35x12.50's (315/75-16). That's what I have.

Yea that is what I was gonna have to do because that is the biggest that nitto terra graplers get for 16 inch rims

An inch. The tire is two inches taller (approximately a 33 vs. a 35) so half of that is an inch.

did you read my post? or just totally blank out.

35's arent the biggest you can go. I plainly had 36's under my truck with a 3" body lift for over a year.

so no you can go bigger but you will have to cut.

I still recommend 35's, but hate when people say it cant be done.

315-75-16's. Had to do minor valence trimming, and removed front mud flaps due to some rubbing at full lock on driveway entrances, off camber entrys and such. Love mine! Wheels are 16x10.
