Nor learn the hard way....

Happy Memorial Day to everyone

35's and 9" of lift does not look that bad. and if someone told me something stupid like that guy said to you id make his truck feel insignificant. That is rediculous. Yes bigger tires wil look better but come one no need for insults.

I think a good combo for you if you want something bigger than 35's, go up to a 36" tire you dont think its much but the combo looks nice.
I'd have to agree with trimble here. 35's and 8" doesn't look as bad as you'd think, or as others may make it out to be. Truth is, pictures make the combo look much worse than it actually is in person. I've been through this when I was at 8" and 35's. My current set up of 8" and 37's is still nice but, to be honest, they both look great IMHO.

If you are set on going to 9" though, I'd say get some 36's to keep things consistant. Just make sure you think things through before you buy. Otherwise things may pop up that you weren't budgetting for and you'll be over budget in no time. You also don't want to just settle right now just to get it tomorrow or next week and regret not going bigger later; happens to a lot of us on here.

Not only will there be a lot more stress and wear on your tranny as others have stated, your truck will feel absolutely gutless even with OD locked out. Just another bit of food for thought. Steep grades will give you some trouble with keeping your tranny happy since you lose a lot of torque at the rear wheels running that big of a tire on stock 3.55s or 3.73s. I only went to 35s and I felt a huge drop off in performance, and thats with intake, exhaust, chip, etc.. Just more food for thought.
