Painting Wheels

I have a set of wheels that were painted black from the factory but want to color match them to my truck. I'll paint them the same dary grey that is on the bottom of most 2 tone FX4's. What is the best paint to use for this purpose? I thought about powdercoating but a friend who does that siad it could possibly weaken the wheels due to high temperatures and time it takes to bake it on properly. Any suggestions?

Powercoation would be best but an automotive paint would be second best.

Weakened from powdercoating? Car and bike frames are powdercoated. Almost every aftermarket wheel with color is powdercoated.
It's well worth the expense to powdercoat.
Use a spray can only if you don't have the cash to get it done right

Dont waste your time... its all the more prep work you or someone will have to do when its redone the right way

I recently painted parts of mine adding more black. I used Dupont automotive paint. Painting was the easy part, prep work takes forever.
