I am looking to see if anyone has painted the Lariat 18inch wheels silver and got rid of the bronzeish color that they come with? Pictures would be awesome.

I have an 05 screw and I need new tires but I would like to get new wheels but I just don't want to spend the money on them. So a happy compromise for me would be to spray the lariat wheels with a good silver paint (leave the machined areas unpainted and polish nicely).

Most people do black but not really looking to go that route. I have chrome bumpers and such.

Not 18's but I painted my 17" xlt wheels to match the truck

 

I would just recommend wet sanding, using primer then selecting your color. Should work out fine

 

A member here, F1KOBE, did it. He did a 2 tone black and left some chrome. They look really good. He has pics posted. Also, someone else did a write up in a thread. Should be able to find it with a search. I've been thinking about doing this too.
