2wd 20x9s.Correct Specs?
Hello, Im tryin to get down the correct specs on some aftermarket 20s for my RCSB 07 F150 2wd, Ill be looking to run 275/55/20 tires with 2inch drops shacks, and Im wanting my rims of course to sit underneath the truck and not to stick out, since its goin to be a street truck look, will these fit fine? I found some at a steal brand new 20x9s with 12mm offset and 5.5 inches backspacing.. I thought 6 inches of BS would be better but this is all that is offered on these certain rims on sale.. im not sure how well the 12mm offset affects the fitment either.. but I found these 20s brand new less than $400 for a set, Im on standby for ordering them b/c I want to make sure they would sit perfect underneath the truck and not stick out.. thanks..

+12 WILL STICK OUT!!!!!! You want a +30 or 35 offset

thanks for the replies, yeah see I understand the backspacing.. but I dont fully understand the offset meanings.. I called and the guy through the company, he told me they would stick out like and 1 inch and half outside the fender.?? So I dunno I was just tryin to possibly hear or see what others have ran on their F150s 20s wise.. thanks
PorkCereal, thanks for the reply.. your truck looks pretty nice whats the specs on your rims, what backspacing and offset? Also Im looking to throw on some 2 inch drop shackles but Im scared of having vibration issues.. you ever had that problem with the 2-4 drop.. did you do shims?

Offset is where the mounting of the wheel is vs the barrel of the wheel. Higher offsets +15 and up bring the mounting to the face of the wheel, then a standard/medium is more toward the center of the barrel and reverse 0ish to -32 bring the mounting to the back side of the barrel of the wheel.
Backspacing is the depth if you will of the mouting/ lug area in the center of the wheel. Bascially the spacing on the back of the lug area.
The higher the offset the more backspacing your going to have to clear the face of the wheel from the calipers and suspension.
So most wheels 20x9 for a 04-09 f150 with a +30HPO offset will automatically have around 6inches of backspacing. Which are the specs of my wheels.
I did a full eibach pro truck kit and i recommend doing the shocks/struts with it, it improves the ride a lot. I have vibration but its not due to the lowering kit, its due to 2 bad pirelli atr's that i cant get to balance, but i waited too long to get them adjusted.
