Newbie Question HELP!

I have 2007 F150 XLT with stock 17 rims and tires with tpms. I have someone giving me their new 2009 OEM 20's (they owe me!!). What do I need to do in order to change out the tpms and reprogram the speedo and odometer? How much would this cost?

I'm thinking about taking it to the dealer and having them do everything because I don't want to have any warranty issues etc. What do you think this would cost? I've called two different dealers and they give me the run around on cost.

Thanks for the help guys.

You dont have to take it to the dealer if you have another shop around that has a tpms program tool. Nothing should really need to be repogrammed because your still within factory specs as far as the speedo goes.

Worst case you could have a tire shop break them down and swap the sensors.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is that still the case even if the new wheels have had the tpms removed?

I know I will need to have the tmps taken out of mine and put in the new ones.

i think discount tire will be able to do this for you. they charge 100 bucks to mount and balance but idk if they would cut you a deal since its only the tpms swap

If you take the old sensors out and put them in the new tires, nothing should need to be recalibrated.
