Need Tires

WOW

This has been beat to death here I'm sure but I have not visited this web site since Sept. 2007. After almost 5 yrs I just installed my Daystar 2.5 inch leveling kit(the kit where you have to compress the spring, what a pain) . Now I am going to put some new tires on. What is the largest tire I can put on the stock rims. I have a 04 Lariet Screw 4x4. If I decide on rims what size and spacing should I use? Also most of my driving is on paved roads but I do venture down dirt roads for fishing and hunting.I am also not looking for something to aggressive or with alot of road noise I will probably go with an all terrain tire. Thanks for all the help.

35x12.5 with minor rubbing and possibly a little trimming involved, depends on the tire you want

x2 ^^, from what discussion I have been involved with if you go with a 35/12.50 the lugs on the sidewall are most often the culprit of the rubbing. The more aggressive sidewall you go with the better chance of rubbing you have.

You can fit a 35x12.5x18 on the Lariat wheels but you may have minor rubbing. I think the 305x65x18 BFG all terrain which is close to 34 inches tall, may be the best choice. They look great on the stock wheels.

Yep, as a general rule with a leveling kit on a 4x4 you can fit 35x12.50's using the oem wheels or 33's with wider aftermarket wheels.
