Many of us have gone to Wagner ThermoQuiets to solve that problem. Some have gone to Hawk pads but I can only testify to the Wagners. Great stopping and no dust.

Looks like those Wagner's may be my next investment too. With the amount of dust I see from my OEM pads I am surprised there is anything left of them.
Bogeyrider let me know what you end up getting and how they work for you.

You should not go with drilled rotors. They eat up pads and should be for racing applications. The slotted are not quite as hard on pads and serve to get rid of gases. The drilled is to disapate heat and you should not be building that kind of heat under normal driving. For normal driving, plain rotors are sufficient.

Wagner Thermoquiets will be put on every vehicle I ever change brake pads on.

Let me promise you that I went 2 months without cleaning my custom 20's after I installed the wagners, then guess what when I did clean them only road dust and grime. NO BRAKE DUST.

WAGNER FTW

Sounds like the way to go. Who's got the best deal on the Wagners?

You guys that went with the Wagner TQs, did you go with the semi-metallic or the ceramic compound? Will one be better than the other (both stopping power and dust)?

I can't speak for the ceramic as I have never tried them. I have the semi-metallic. They are high quality with very good stopping and no dust. I have 78,000 on them and still have some pad left. Will replace with another set in 10,000 or so miles.

I went with ceramic because I tow a 6300# travel trailer. Ceramic handles heat buildup and has less fade under high heat/heavy braking conditions. I have heard that ceramic does wear a little more on the rotors though. If your not towing or driving like dale jr then go with the semi metallic. The dust is not an issue with either pad.

I want some of these pads. Are you guys using them all the way around or just on the front or back. Also where are you guys buying pads from?
