pattern spacers

I have a 00 2wd supercab and i want to put aftermarket wheels on it. Most of the wheels for this truck are too bulky and off road looking. The wheel i would love to have is the Shelby Razor but can not get in my fittment. I was told by my local wheel dealer that i could use a patttern changing spacer to fit the wheels to my truck. Doing this i would be going from 5-135 to whatever the new Mustang is. Is there any problems associated in doing this? and if i run 18 in wheels what would be my tire size to keep the speedo somewhat correct?
Thanks

Wheel spacers/adaptors are a bad idea. They can cause fitment and vibration issues as well as increasing wear and tear on your suspension and steering components.

Install new hubs drilled with a different bolt pattern. It would probably be cheaper to have custom wheels made.
