Aftermarket wheels with Pro Comp Stage 1

Bought my lift kit last week, waiting for it to come in. Due to money being tight I am searching my local craigslist for a set of wheels that I can get on the cheap that will work with the ProComp lift.

I found a set of 4 wheels (X Power brand) that are 17 x 9 with 5.5 backspacing for $300.

Link: http://www.xpowerwheels.com/668.htm

Wondering if these would work with the Pro Comp lift. Also any opinions on these wheels? Trying to spend the least amount of cash.

I plan on running some 35 inch tires, probably 35 x 12.5 or a 315/70/17

thanks!

Actually i think I already answered my own question... From Pro Comp's kit instructions:

Due to differences in manufacturing, dimensions and inflated measurements, tire and wheel combinations should be test fit prior to installation. Tire and wheel choice is crucial in assuring proper fit, performance, and the safety of your Pro Comp equipped vehicle. For this application, a wheel not to exceed 8” in width with a minimum backspacing of 4.5” to a maximum 5”, additionally, a quality tire of radial design, not exceeding 35” tall X 13.5” wide is recommended. Please note that the use of a 35” X 13.5” tire may require fender modification. Violation of these recommendations will not be endorsed as acceptable by Pro Comp Suspension and will void any and all warranties either written or implied.

OK, that's one positive response. Anyone else wanna chime in and confirm?

No offense IDNC76 and no disrespect to your knowledge, I'd just like to get a consensus from the forum

I hear that, was not planning on going larger than 35 x 12.5.

In fact with the current buy 3 get 1 free Pro Comp sale, I'm thinking of going with the Pro Comp Xtreme Mud Terrain Radial.

3 x $290.99 = $872.97 for 4 tires cant be beat right now.

Hopefully they work out for you, but yeah I think 12.5 would be the best fit. Let us know how the rims fit when you get your tires.

If that's the price you got off the website don't forget to add tax lol

so you total should be closer to $945 which is still pretty darn good for those tires!

OK, thanks for the responses! Spoke to the guy again, we have agreed on $260 for all 4. Going to check them out later tonight.

Is there a website or diagram that details how to properly measure a wheel?

Found it!

Posting it for future reference to anyone else who happens to stumble across my post.

Lotta good info here!

OK so i got the wheels took them home and measured. They appear to be 17 x 9 with 5 inches of backspacing not 6.

Will they still work?
