Rancho Quick lift done, what tire size to run?

Installed the Rancho Quick lift on my truck yesterday, 2004 FX-4, now I'm wondering what size tires I can fit with no problems using my stock 18" rims ? Would a 35 12.50-18 fit with no issues ?

Yes sir it definently should because isn't the Rancho Quick Lift just like a 2.5" leveling kit?

I think Rancho claims 2" Would I be better off going to a 35 12.50 17 and after market wheels ?

Wheel size isnt really gonna affect anything it all depends on the offset and backspacing. It's all personal preference on if you want to keep your stockers or go with some aftermarket 17's. Got any pics of the truck?

I say to go ahead and save yourself some money and just the used 35x12.50x18's that way you don't have to buy new rims. You may have to do minor trimming but nothing noticable....

This should be the answer to your question

You can fit a 35x12.50 using the OEM wheels or an aftermarket 8 inch wide wheel with 5.5 inches of backspacing, but they will rub the control arms slightly at full steering lock.

Im seeing about 10-11 MPG's with city and a tad bit of highway every tank. If cruising at 60 I can see as high as 16

I have 275 65 18's right now, I have been averaging a little over 15 MPG, if I do alot of freeway it goes up a little but not much. The 35 12.50-18's I can get are Toyo MT's by the way, should I pass and go with a better fitting 33" tire instead ?

I get 13-14 mpgs on an average tank. Gas is like beer, when I need it I buy it.

I had 33x12.5 on 18 on my '06 and didn't find them too small at all. Personal preference i guess but 35's look too big with only a leveling kit imo. Also with the 33's you can go for a little less offset so they stick out a bit more than stock and not worry about rubbing.

A 305x65x18 BFG AT which is close to 34 inches tall will fit and look great. Kind of split's the difference!
