Thumbs up New Shoe's

I have a 07 F150 super cab I was running Nitto Terra Grapplers. The day I purchased the truck i had them put on. I saw alot of people giong with them mostly why i bought them. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!! These tire seriously suck with 17,654 miles on them they were to tread indicators and scolloped horribly i rotated every 3k and balanced every 6k with no burn outs/doughnuts/or cutting up worst invest ever. I just bought a set of General Grabber AT2 Best tire in my eyes. Looks and performs identical to the BFG AT. A set of BFG 265 70 17 mounted and balanced was $1000 These General's mounted and balanced were $575 with 60k warranty. I have had BFG on previous truck and these general's have impressed me with the same ride/performance with fraction of the cost.

Are there different versions of the Terra Grappler? Meaning load ratings wise? Because I have a set of TG's on my 02 FX4 and absolutely love them. They're the 305/55/20's and I have 44,000 miles and counting. Just had them rotated and they told me I still have plenty of tread left. I'll easily get to the 50,000 mile mark. They ride great, have always balanced well. No complaints whatsoever. Thats why I'm curious because it seems like some people have experiences like the OP and others have them last with the best of them.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm curious to see how these wear for you.

265/65R18 BFGs 255.00 each

275/65R18 Generals 150.00 each

Wow.

Huh... Its weird to hear this because there are tons of members in here that have them inflated properly and are seeing 40,000+ miles out of them easily. Maybe you had a bad batch or something. Good luck with the Generals, let us know how they turn out.

Ive heard some bad things, but way more good then bad. Ive heard nothing but praise from people the have had them for a while about how they performed in the rain and snow. I guess if you have one batch of bad luck with them i can see how you wouldnt want them again.

We have TGs on two trucks at work. A 97 250 and a 01 350. They suck on the 97 and the 01 seem to be OK. 97 only has about 20k since tire change

I drive dirt/ gravel roads regularly so that also means mud when it rains, and I hate the way they perform in the mud. JMO but the tire just isnt for everyone. Not saying they suck theyre just not for me.
