Rim question

im lifting my 2001 f150 screw 6 inches and getting 315x75rx16 procomp xtreme a/t. which size rim would be best for that setup like 16x8 or 16x10 etc... also how much backspacing

You want a 16x10 with 4.5 inchess of backspacing. THat's what I have.

ok thanks. also does the rim have anything to do with how far the tire sticks out of the truck? And what the the x10 mean from a 16x10 wheel??/

Yes, the width and backspacing of the wheel determines how far the tire/wheel sticks out or tucks in. The "16x10" means the rim has a 16 inch diameter and the width is 10 inches. Here's a pic of mine.

ohhhh ok thanks alot wandell im new at tires and rims. but one more question.
for example the rims i want are the procomp 7189 rims, they are 16x10 5x4.5. will those be the ones i want?? and also what size would i get if i want about another inch out the side from the tires????

No, those won't fit your truck. The 5x4.5 refers to the bolt pattern. Our bolt pattern is 5x135mm. As for tire size, I wouldn't go larger than a 35x13.50 tire with a 6 inch lift.
