looking to get new wheels for my lift

i have a 5inch rcd lift on right now im running 16x10 with 315/75/16 but i dont like how far they stick out throw to much mud up the side of the truck plus there going to be my winter rims and tires. im looking to go with a 20x8.5 wheel and i would like to know what tire size i can go with with out any rubing. i have seen other people with 35/12.50/20 and 35/13.50/20 whats the different between the two and what shoud i go with. thank you

You would need to go with the 35/12.5. Just to stay away from any rubbing. Make sure the wheel you go with has alot of backspacing. Maybe 5.5 or 6.

I'd stick with a 35x12.50 tire. As for the tires sticking out, that has a lot to do with the wheels. I'm pretty sure your wheels are 10 inches wide with 4.5 inches of bs. If you go with a slightly narrower wheel or one with more bs, they will tuck the tires in more. I'd suggest a 9 inch wide wheel with 4.5 or 5 inches of bs.

ive been searching around on here and why are some people running 35x13.50 on
20x8.5-20x9.5 wheels? is there a big difference between going with a 35x12.50 or a 35x13.50? thanks guys

THe 12.50 and 13.50 refers to the width of the tire in inches. So if you go with an inch wider tire you may be defeating the purpose of your switch. As for the MB Motoring wheels, I'd go to Discount Tire's website and look them up to find their width and backspacing. I seriously doubt they offer more than one 20 inch wheel in our 5x135 mm bolt pattern.

i found out the back spacing on these ultras im running are not a 4.5 its more than that. i think thats the reason why i had rubbing and they stick out so far. but from looking at the pictures of the truck above they dont stick out hardly at all past the fenders compared to my setup i have now.

heres a pic, i talked to a guy at work today who has 16x10 with 4.5 back spacing on his truck and they are flush with the fenders. i think these ultras have a different back spacing.

i think im going to go with the 20x8.5 mb motoring predators with 35x13.50x20. i really like the looks of the truck i posted above with them. inless some ones tells me im making a bad choice on going with the 13.50.

Personally, I think a 10 inch wheel with 4.5 inches of bs looks best on our truck. You could probably still fit a 35x13.50 tire using that wheel.

I think what you have now is a 16x10 with 4 1/4" backspace and -32mm offset, which makes the wheel and tire stick out a lot. I'm running a 18x9 wheel that has 4 1/2" backspace and -12mm offset. My tires are 33 x 13.50 and they are just about even with the fenders.

The 20x8.5 MB Motoring wheels you are looking at I think have 4 1/2" backspace and -6mm offset. This wheel should tuck under the truck 1 3/4" more than what you have now, (Wandell might be able to confirm this).

Hope this helps.

yea the ultra wheels i have now are 4 1/4 with 32mm back spacing which is why the rims are so far out. i think im going with the mb motoring wheels only because i dont have to polish them to keep them looking good like chrome and aluminuim.

Check out murraylatham's gallery ( https://www.f150online.com/galleries...cfm?gnum=10512 ) he is running a set of 20x10 MB Motoring Predator's with a
-25mm offset. I think this setup is awesome. The 20x10's are actually cheaper than the 20x8.5's on discount tire direct ( http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...0&bp=5-135&rw= ) I don't know why?
