Let's talk over-all price, AKA Bang for your buck
First off I run 2.5 HBS Level on an 05 4x4 with stock 17 rims.
For awhile I researched the sizes I can fit with no rubbing or little but needing trimming done and I came up with:
315/70/17, 305/70-17 (34x12.50), 305/65-17 (33x12.50) or a 295/70-17 (34x12.00)
A local shop quoted me $249 out the door for Terra Grapplers and I was stuck on picking up a set BUT I've done a lot of research on them and although they seem to be a good buy for the price they have returned a few searches on blow outs and low mileage. Can anyone else give me some open minded suggestion on other tires that run in the same price range and provide the largest size I can run?

You are right, the 315/70-17 (35x12.50) is as large as you can run but it will rub the control arms slightly at full steering lock. Any of the other sizes will fit using the OEM wheels with no rubbing. The Nitto Terra Grappler and the TOyo AT are basically the same tire (manufactured in the same factory) and are excellent tires that are usually found at a slightly lower price than similar quality tires (BFG AT KO, Pro COmp Xtreme AT, Mickey Thompson ATZ, **** Cepek FC II).
