24's

Most 24's will fit, just need to find the ones with the correct backspacing.
And, the right tire.
Those are the only two things to worry about. Other than actual lug fitment.
Lots of sites can give you fitment suggestions. Even sites like www.discounttire.com.

He said that would be if you stay with a 24 inch tire that is the same height as the OEM tire. I'm not an expert on fitment on the 4x2 97-03 F-150's with street tires, but I would try to fit a 305/35-24 tire which is basically a 33x12.50-24 tire. This will give him a good bit of sidewall. I know one thing, you don't want to lift a truck to fit a street tire/wheel package, ever. I'm sure you don't want to wind up with a F-150 donk.

I guess I should have made myself more clear, sorry guys.
24's will fit, and 285 mentioned above will fit the wheel and fit witout any worry of rubbing. But if the OD is the same as the stock 16" wheel you are removing 4" of sidewall from the tire and replacing it with wheel. That reduction in size is also a reduction in air volume, which determines the load capacity of the tire. 285's do work OK, but it's too close to be a good idea. We recommennd a 305/35 24 as it has much more load capacity. But depending on the offset of the wheel or unless you are lifted in fron you may need to due some liner trimming to get it in.

Oh ok, my bad, I just got back to the states so tomorrow I'm going to look at some wheels at this wheel and tire shop, hopefully they'll be a little bit more help with fitment. Also, I'm not really sure what the suspension is like because, even though i live in a fairly large city, I haven't seen an extended cab stepside f-150 so i don't know the stock height.... Does anyone think they can tell whether or not its stock height by a picture?
